I am a follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about joining God’s transformative work in others’ lives. Initially, I went to college with the aim of serving Christ as a local church pastor. The church has been my burden since high school when I sensed God calling me into pastoral ministry. Through a series of experiences and relationships after college, God revealed more and more to me of my own brokenness and need of healing. During that painful process and season in my life, God gave me a clearer picture of my own personality, gifting, and story, and how those might fit into His kingdom mission. This picture – through prayer, conversations with my wife, and godly counsel – gradually shifted from a vision of pastoral ministry to a vision of counseling, therapy, and soul care.
I am here to help
As a counselor, I have helped couples and adults work through struggles with life transitions, career concerns, relational problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, addiction, and grief. I provide my clients a safe relationship where they can learn to accept their brokenness, release their shame, take responsibility for their sin, change problematic patterns, and pursue a life which is empowered by their sharing in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
My education and training
I earned my undergraduate degree in pastoral ministry from Moody Bible Institute, and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. I am a Licensed Processional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and a member of the South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counselor Association.
